Tech Focus In Schools

Working with teachers and exploring new technology sometimes presents a challenge. It has been said that teachers make the worse students. Like most of us who are"seasoned" educators, teaching old dogs new tricks is never easy. What I have learned after several training sessions showing teachers how to use their laptops and projectors is that most look at technology as just another additional thing they have to do. So that said, I am going to focus on the intergration of technology, not the taking over technology. Tech Focus in Schools will showcase some cool examples of how teachers are using technology in the classroom and not letting it be the end all. Rule Number One: Don't let the technology control your classroom; let the subject matter guide the instruction. Rule Number Two: Remember keep it simple. Finally, Rule Number Three: Your students know more about technology than you do so allow them to help.
